The Cue Lab · 6 courses · 80 minutes total

People don't judge your grammar. They read your cues.

Every course here installs one category of cue — what your body says before you speak, how your voice is rated, which words make people lean in, and how to read the signals an American workplace never says out loud. Each one is written the same way: the move, the psychology behind it, and the mistake most people make.

The five families of cues

Body cues

What people read before you speak.

Vocal cues

How you sound decides how you're rated.

Verbal cues

The words that make people lean in.

Presence cues

Holding a room without raising your voice.

Connection cues

Being liked, remembered and trusted.

The courses

Read one, drill it for two minutes a day, then test it in a live practice scene.

Course 1 · Body cues

The first seven seconds

Warmth and competence, before a single word

12 min

People decide two things about you almost instantly: can I trust you, and can you do the job. You'll learn to send both signals on purpose instead of hoping.

Course 2 · Vocal cues

Vocal authority

Sound certain even when you're still finding the words

14 min

Your accent is not the issue — your ending is. You'll learn the pitch, pace and pause pattern that makes people rate you as confident.

Course 3 · Verbal cues

Hooks: make them lean in

The first sentence decides whether anyone listens to the rest

12 min

You'll stop opening with background and start opening with a line that makes people put their phone down.

Course 4 · Presence cues

Presence under pressure

Interrupted, challenged, doubted — and still in the room

15 min

You'll be able to hold your point when someone talks over you, and answer a hard question without shrinking.

Course 5 · Connection cues

Be the person people want in the room

Warmth is a skill, not a personality

13 min

Being liked is not luck — it's a set of repeatable cues. You'll learn the ones that make people remember your name and bring you opportunities.

Course 6 · Connection cues

Reading the room

Decode the cues American workplaces don't say out loud

14 min

You'll spot disagreement, doubt and 'no' before it's said — and you'll know what indirect feedback actually means.
